Youth Homelessness Matters Day is a national day that was conceived in 1990 to raise awareness and public discussion about child and youth homelessness. This is an important day of advocacy for sustainable and innovative solutions to support the needs of children and young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
This year we are calling for the development of a standalone National Child and Youth Homelessness and Housing Strategy. If you would like to sign the petition below, and check out how you can be involved in #YHMD2023, check the link below:

We held a gathering at our Blacktown Office, La Valla, today, to recognise the young people we serve and support, to reflect with staff, visitors and some of our young adult clients on the work and ongoing commitment of Marist180 to children and young people experiencing or facing homelessness, and demonstrate solidarity with and support for all those working to address the human, practical and structural factors that contribute to the growing numbers of homeless children and young people. Well done to all the SHS Team, especially Debbie Crane, Sonia Carney, Lina Albazi, Daniela Gorgievska and Raelene Bridges for coordinating, leading and hosting a memorable event.
